The castle in Dubiecko, picturesquely located by the San River, is one of the oldest magnate residences in the Subcarpathian region. Its history dates back to the 16th century — in 1580 Stanisław Mateusz Stadnicki built a Renaissance defensive residence here, surrounded by a moat and an Italian garden. It was here in 1735 that Ignacy Krasicki was born, and Franciszek Karpiński wrote the words to the carol “Bóg się rodzi.” Today, after a thorough renovation of the historic interiors, Dubiecko Castle combines rich history with modern hospitality — as a hotel, restaurant, and events center.

Historic oak
The name Dubiecko comes from the Ruthenian word "dub" (oak). Today, the greatest pride of the castle courtyard is the historic, 300-year-old oak "Dewajtis", which brings good luck.
